Description

Famous Danish designer Juul Kristensen began his career working for several local furniture design and manufacturing companies, including Fritz Hansen and Rosendahl A/S, before founding his own company in 1969, which produced furniture, lighting and home accessories. During his career, Kristensen received numerous awards and honours for his design achievements, including the Danish Design Foundation's Excellence Award in 1974 and the Danish Design Grand Prix in 1987. His designs are often characterized by their simplicity and functionality, as well as the use of natural materials such as wood and leather. Therefore, it can be no surprise that Juul Kristensen is considered one of Denmark's most influential designers, who has helped shape the modern Scandinavian design aesthetic.

Speaking of Scandinavian aesthetic: this extendable dining table truly is a textbook example. It features the typical (and widely appreciated) midcentury modern style: warm teak wood showing a beautiful pattern, sleek, clean lines, soft curves and a timeless design which effortlessly combines comfort and functionality.

The chairs shown in the photos are for sale as well. Consult our furniture section to purchase them.
