Description

Space Age coffee table from 1970s Germany with a clear rectangular glass top supported by a striking tubular base. In the center of the base, four curved metal tubes meet in an uprising movement, creating a bold geometric and almost architectural silhouette. What's most interesting about this coffee table however, is how well the materials work together. The polished chrome base gives the piece a sturdy and sculptural look while the clear glass top does the exact opposite, as the mind associates it with fragility. This prevents the final design from feeling too heavy on the eye, so that it hits the perfect sweet spot between chunky and robust at one hand, while still feeling sleek and minimalistic on the other.

Condition

The glass top was replaced by a new one and the base is in perfect (vintage) condition, with minimal age-related wear.
